“Process Supervisor” Designation
WARNING
Initial machinery settings should be performed only by
supervisory personnel thoroughly trained in both the
chemistry and mechanics of ultrasonic cleaning.
Cleansing fluid recipes should also be determined in advance
by knowledgeable supervisory personnel.
Throughout this manual, line operators are instructed to consult with their
"Process Supervisor" whenever there are questions regarding machine
operation and use of chemicals.
Crest recommends the designation of a "Process Supervisor" for each shift that
utilizes the system because there are many safety requirements for machinery
operation and use of chemicals. Also, there are several variables that affect the
cleaning process, and it is necessary that a supervisor be thoroughly familiar
with ultrasonic cleaning technology in order to optimize the process.
Line operators should be instructed in all operational and safety procedures. It
is particularly important that the line operators should be aware of their
responsibility to monitor thermostats and fluid levels in the tanks containing
fluids.
All personnel who use the machine should be provided with proper items for
self-protection, including but not limited to:
Protective gloves and protective eyewear
Appropriate containers or tongs for immersing parts to be cleaned
Operating instructions and safety requirements should be kept within easy
access of the console.
