Removing the Continuously Variable Potentiometer, Continued:
15. Remove the four 1/4 inch bolts (17), washers, and nuts attaching the potentiometer housing (18) and
the pivot rod support (19) to the frame (Figure 20-18).
16. Remove the potentiometer housing and pivot rod support from the I-Beam.
Installing the Continuously Variable Potentiometer (Figure 20-18)
1. Position the potentiometer housing (18) and pivot rod support (19) on the frame and install the four 1/4
bolts (17) with washers and nuts. See NOTE below.
2. Install the pivot rod (7), with accelerator pedal (5), actuator lever (6), and the nylon washer (16), into the
potentiometer housing. See NOTE at the top of the next page.
