Removing a Printer

When you disconnect a printer from the instrument and no longer intend to use it,

you can remove the printer driver and increase the free disk space available on the

instrument's internal hard disk drive.
To remove a printer driver:

On the 

File

 menu, click 

Print Setup

, then 

Configure Printer

.... This opens the

Printers

 dialog box.

Click the printer driver you want to remove.

In the 

File

 menu in the 

Printers

 dialog box, select 

Delete

. A dialog box will

appear to confirm the removal of the printer driver.

Click 

Yes

 to confirm your selection.

Setting the Default Printer

You can set the printer you use most often as the default printer. Then all printouts

will be sent to the default printer unless you explicitly select another printer.
To specify the default printer:

On the 

File

 menu, click 

Print Setup

, then 

Configure Printer

.... This opens the

Printers

 dialog box.

Choose one of the currently mapped printers. If the printer you want to use is

not yet included in this list, see 

“Adding a Printer” on page 555

.

On the 

File

Printers

 dialog box, click 

Set As Default

.

Click 

Close

. The default printer selection is applied and the dialog box closes.

The printer capabilities will vary depending on the printer you have installed and
configured.

Printing a Hardcopy

N O T E

Before you can print, you must first have the appropriate printer driver installed. The
printer properties and capabilities will vary depending on the printer you have
installed and configured for the instrument.

To print a hardcopy of the instrument's display to the default printer:
• Click 

Print

 from the 

File

 menu on the main menu bar.
