• BER location mode

You can specify whether all errors are counted or only the errors that occurred

on a particular bit position or range of positions.

• Audio warnings

You can set up the audio warnings so that the instrument beeps when a certain

BER is exceeded.

• Trigger output for external measurement instruments

This allows you to connect other devices for further error analysis.

N O T E

When the Bit Recovery Mode (BRM) option is installed, the error detector is able
to detect bit errors without expecting any particular pattern. This feature allows you
to investigate the behavior of the DUT when the sampling point is moved.
