• Invert. The Invert does the following functions:
Symbol Mode off: Invert the bits.
Symbol Mode OOB: 0 becomes 1, 1 becomes 0, Z remains unchanged.
Symbol Mode PAM4: Invert bits on per channel basis.

• Clock Pattern divide by

All the above options are not available in all modes. The
Symbol fill is available if
the
Symbol Mode is enabled.
N O T E
In PAM4 mode the symbol that is used for a ‘0’ is ‘00’ and for a '1' it is ‘11’. This
will be used for Fill with 0, Fill with 1 and for the Clock pattern Fills.

Recode
This tab is used to change the coding of a selected range in the pattern.
The button
Convert undefined to Z
provides an easy access to fix all undefined
symbols to the coding of a Z symbol. It is only accessible when symbol mode
is set to OOB, as there is no undefined symbol in PAM4 mode.
