Replacing the X-ray Tube
(Procedures required when cleaning filter or replacing tube)

Confirm that the two O-rings

are placed on the tube shield.

Confirm the position of the tube positioning pin, and install the X-ray
tube into the tube shield, making sure that tube positioning pin fits the
tube shield pin hole.

Tighten the screws and make sure that the X-ray tube is installed
securely to the tube shield.
There may be a water leakage if it is not installed securely.

Mount the upper cover of the enclosure. (Tool used: Philips driver)

Connect the cooling water hose.
Disassembling the X-ray tube and cleaning the filter
If the tube flange is hot, the filter may be clogged, resulting in degraded cooling
efficiency. Perform maintenance of the X-ray tube by following the procedures
below.

For maintenance purpose, remove the X-ray tube from MiniFlex 600.

Disassemble the X-ray tube. Remove the jetter and then remove the
filter.

Clean the filter with a brush and tap water.

When reassembling the X-ray tube, make sure the sealing chip and flange pin
hole are in the same direction as shown in the figure above (being inverted
vertically is acceptable as well). In this position, the slit of the jetter will be in
vertical direction.
