Installing the Counter Monochromator (Optional)
100
MiniFlex 600: Benchtop X-ray Diffractometer
Due to the issues of the size of graphite crystal, the counter monochromator
will not count correct intensity in Variable slit mode. Use the counter
monochromator in Fixed + variable slit mode.
Installing the Counter Monochromator
The counter monochromator is dedicated for scintillation counter (SC) and can
not be installed in D/teX Ultra. The procedure for installing the counter
monochromator is described below.
1
Set the setting jig (Si plate) on the sample holder. Remove the filter and
perform measurement to obtain the intensity of Si (111).
By comparing the intensity without monochromator (without filter) and the
intensity after installing the monochromator, it can be confirmed that the
monochromator is installed correctly.
