MiniFlex 600: Benchtop X-ray Diffractometer

Retracting the slider

When measuring the intensity of a direct beam for optics alignment, etc., set the
slider of the variable knife edge at a raised position by attaching the slider
retracting screw.

How to retract the slider

Attach the slider retracting screw while raising the slider by hand.

How to release the slider from the retracted position

Remove the slider retracting screw while holding the slider of the

variable knife edge by hand.

The slider will slide down when the screw is removed.

CAUTION

When the slider retracting screw is removed, the slider of the variable knife
edge will slide down. If the slider slides down suddenly, the slider may become
damaged. When removing the slider retracting screw, hold the variable knife
edge by hand and let the slider slide down slowly.

Be sure to remove the slider retracting screw when the optics alignment is
completed.
