Optics Alignment (Required for Periodic Inspection or Installing X-Ray Tube)

MiniFlex 600: Benchtop X-ray Diffractometer

Perform direct beam confirmation measurement

①

Mount the Cu absorber (0.3 mm x 2) on the Soller slit box.

②

Execute measurement of direct beam and confirm that the direct
beam is blocked by the beam stop.

Scan conditions, Absolute, Start: -0.4, Stop: 0.4, Step: 0.01, Speed: 5, Scan
mode: Continuous
Count mode under Detector: Int.

・

If part of or the whole direct beam can be seen, perform the

procedures in

Adjust the beam stop

・

When it is confirmed that the direct beam is blocked by the beam

stop, go on to

Perform the beam stop position confirmation

measurement.

Adjust the beam stop

Adjust the beam stop with the adjustment screw.
Loosen the beam stop mounting screw and beam stop fixing screw.
Then, turn the adjustment screw to adjust the height of the beam stop.

②

Perform the procedures in

Perform direct beam confirmation

measurement

again, and confirm that the direct beam is blocked by

the beam stop.
