Installing the Optional Sample Attachment
As optional sample attachments, MiniFlex 600 offers a sample rotation attachment
and an automatic six sample changer ASC-6AMII (with a sample surface rotation
mechanism). The sample rotation attachment is useful for quantitative analysis. By
measuring the sample while performing sample surface rotation, it enhances the
reproducibility of peak intensity. The 6 sample changer changes samples
automatically on its own and comes in handy especially when many samples are to
be measured. It also features the sample surface rotation mechanism and can be
used for quantitative analysis as well. To use any of these optional sample
attachments, install it on the standard sample holder.
This section describes how to install the 6 sample changer on the standard sample
holder.. The procedure is the same when installing the sample rotation attachment
on the standard sample holder.

Remove the sample plate clamping parts at the bottom of the standard
sample holder (Fig. 10.1) and store them in an adequate place.

Fix the 6 sample changer at the bottom of the standard sample holder
with a screw (see Fig. 10.2).

Connect the attachment cable of the sample holder to the connector of
MiniFlex 600 (see Fig. 10.2).

Start up MiniFlex Guidance, and select Options - Hardware
Configuration.
