Some X-ray tubes do not allow their head part to be disassembled (do not have a
filter). (The same applies to some of the standard X-ray tubes and Toshiba A-21
used in Japan.
WARNING
The X-ray window is made of beryllium (Be). Beryllium or its corroded
substances or compounds may be harmful if touched or swallowed. To prevent
this risk, observe the following precautions: avoid contact with any part of the
body, and do not moisten, polish chip, or cut beryllium.
Cleaning and Further Information
If the sample is spilled inside the sample chamber, vacuum-clean it. Use a
neutral detergent to clean the enclosure; never use alcohol or paint thinners.
The maintenance procedures described above must be performed by the user.
