Optics Alignment (Required for Periodic Inspection or Installing X-Ray Tube)
MiniFlex 600: Benchtop X-ray Diffractometer
57
If it is 0.01° or more, adjust the position of the X-ray tube.
If the peak cannot be determined, broaden the range of start and stop of
scan condition and try it again.
8
Adjust the vertical position of the X-ray tube.
①
When the sample chamber door is opened, a thick adjustment screw,
with thin locking screws on its left and right side, can be seen in the
center of the rear side of the tube shield.

②
If the peak position is off to the positive side, loosen the locking
screws and turn the tube position vertical adjustment screw in
clockwise direction (slightly).
③
If the peak position is off to the negative side, turn the tube position
vertical adjustment screw in counterclockwise direction (slightly).
After the adjustment is completed, tighten the locking screws and
perform the measurement of direct beam peak position again by
procedures in
6
.
9
When the peak position comes near the range of ±0.01°, change the
measurement conditions to those in Fig. 6.2.39 and perform precision
measurement of the peak position.
When the direct beam position is within the range of ±0.01°, the tube
position adjustment is completed.
