6.4 Compressed Clips
The internal clip store of Flint supports playback of high definition 1080i compressed
clips. This is ideal if you are exporting video files from a non-linear editing system like
Avid or Final Cut Pro or even an animated background from Adobe After Effects or
Apple Motion. Alpha channels with compressed clips are also supported using the
QuickTime Animation or ProRes 4444 codecs.
The clip store supports 4 codecs:
1.
The H.264 codec wrapped as a .mov or .mp4 extension and supports the Main
Profile, level 4.2 standard of H.264 (with a max bit rate of 90 mbits/second)

The Apple ProRes codec wrapped as a .mov extension and supports ProRes
Proxy, ProRes LT, ProRes 422/Normal, PresRes 4444
3.
The Avid DNxHD codec wrapped as a .mov extension and supports Avid DNxHD
36, Avid DNxHD 100, Avid DNxHD 145 and Avid DNxHD 220
4.
The Apple QuickTime Animation codec wrapped as a .mov extension (with a max
bit rate of 800 mbits/second)
NOTE:
The clipstore does not support 1080p 59.94/50 fps clips.
