1.6.2 Flint LS Audio
On Flint LS systems the mixed audio output is through the Analog breakout cable and
embedded in the HDMI & SDI outputs connected to the Output card in Slot 1 & 7, as shown
below.
Audio out is simultaneously active on the analog output using the
¼
” TRS connections
labeled 12 & 13, AES/EBU BNC connection labeled 10, the HDMI connection and through
the SDI stream channels 1 & 2. Audio out is a balanced line level signal.
In addition, the delayed Program audio output is through the analog output using the
¼
”
connections labeled 18 & 19 and the HDMI & SDI streams in channels 3 & 4. Discreet audio
out for each clip channel is also provided through the HDMI & SDI embedded streams,
Clipstore 1 is channels 5 & 6 and Clipstore 2 is channels 7 & 8. An audio
de-embedder will be necessary if feeding analog audio equipment.
The audio input can be through the Analog breakout cable or the HDMI input connected to
the second Input card in Slot 5, as shown below, and is configured through the Flint Input
Assignment menu. For audio to be recognized a valid video signal must be connected to
Input 5.
If using Analog audio in, it is an unbalanced line level signal using the RCA connections
labeled 14 & 15.
