SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

WARNING

Injury Hazard. Always put on gloves and safety goggles when you do work on hot
components. When screws and plugs are opened, steam or fuel can come out and cause
injury.

CAUTION

Damage Hazard: Make sure that you do not damage the sealing faces or the HP fuel
pipes. Do not apply lateral force to the HP fuel pipes and the flanges.

CAUTION

Injury Hazard. The HP fuel pipes are heavy. Use only approved lifting equipment or
sufficient personnel to lift and move the HP fuel pipes.

PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS

•

The engine must be stopped and made safe for maintenance.

•

The fuel supply pump must be set to off.
