PROCEDURE
1 Prepare the cylinder lubricating pump for the check as follows:
1.1 Close the stop-valve 4.30-5 to stop the servo oil supply to the cylinder lubricating
pumps.
1.2 Drain the servo oil system of the cylinder lubricating pumps with the screw plug
on the last cylinder lubricating pump.
2 Do a check of the gas pre-charge pressure as follows:
2.1 Remove the cap (002, Figure 12-4 ) from the accumulator (001).
2.2 On the control unit (005), close the three valves A, B and C.
2.3 Use the short hose (004) to connect the accumulator (001) with the control unit
(005).
2.4 Open valve A.
2.5 Read the pressure form the gauge (007).
NOTE: The correct gas pressure is between 30 bar and 35 bar.
2.6 Close valve A.
3 If the gas pressure is too small, fill the accumulator (001) as follows:
3.1 Attach the pressure reducing valve (003) to the nitrogen bottle (014).
NOTE: Use only super-clean, class 4.0 nitrogen, 99.99%.
3.2 Adjust the pressure to approximately 40 bar.
3.3 Close valves A, B and C.
3.4 Use the long hose (004a) to connect the pressure reducing valve (003) to valve
C of the control unit (005).
3.5 Open valve A.
3.6 Slowly open valve C to fill the accumulator (001) to a pressure of 35 bar.
3.7 Close valves A and C.
3.8 Open valve B for a short time to release the pressure in the control unit (005).
4 Prepare the cylinder lubricating pump for operation as follows:
4.1 Remove the hoses (004, 004a).
4.2 Attach the cap (002) to the accumulator (001).
