Surgical Stretcher Back Articulation with PACU Extenders in
Position (Extenders Around the Head Section)
WARNING:
With little or no weight on it, the back section could rise quickly. Ensure
that you fully control the lift of the back section. Failure to do so could
result in personal injury.
PACU Extender Position—Raising the Back Section
• Squeeze the release handle located at the end of either PACU extender.
• Lift up on the back section. When the desired position is reached, release
the handle.
PACU Extender Position—Lowering the Back Section
• Squeeze the release handle located at the end of either PACU extender.
• Push down on the back section. When the desired position is reached,
release the handle.

the Armboard Position (or When Removed from the Stretcher)
WARNING:

PACU Extenders in the Armboard Position (or When Removed
from the Stretcher)—Raising the Back Section
• Squeeze the back release handle located at the top of the back section on
either side of the articulating head section (under the patient’s shoulder
region on the stretcher).
• Lift up on the back section. When the desired position is reached, release
the handle.
