2.16 Manual Thigh Articulation
1. The crank handle is attached to the knee screw assembly and engages the
shaft mechanism.

Attach the crank handle, and go to “Final Actions” on page 2-32.
2. Turning the crank handle elevates the thigh section.

Another part of the stretcher interferes with the knee screw
assembly. Eliminate the interference, and go to “Final Actions”
on page 2-32.
3. Releasing the crank handle allows the thigh section to remain firmly in
place.

Replace the knee screw assembly (refer to procedure 4.19). If
this solves the problem, go to “Final Actions” on page 2-32.
