UltraChrome Parameters — Foreground Range Menu
12. Adjust the Foreground Range of the UltraChrome Key as follows:
•
Clip
— Use the
Hue
knob to adjust the range of clipping of the Foreground colors.

Increasing the clip value removes lower-saturated colors from the Foreground
image.
~
Decreasing the clip value includes lower-saturated colors in the Foreground
image.
•
Hue
— Use the
SAT
knob to select the central, or base, color for the Foreground.
~
Increasing the hue value moves counter-clockwise around the color wheel
while selecting a base color.
~
Decreasing the hue value moves clockwise around the color wheel while
selecting a base color.
•
Reject
— Use the
LUM
knob to include or reject adjacent hues to the base.
~
Increasing the reject value decreases the amount of adjacent hues that are
included in the Foreground.
~
Decreasing the reject value increases the amount of adjacent hues that are
included in the Foreground.
Operating
Tip
The knobs associated with this menu directly control the range in
which colors are considered foreground colors, and thus, Keyed fully
on. Once the color pick process has finished, these values should
require only minimal adjustments.

You may wish to select a hue to set a base color to keep before using
the other knobs to expand or contract the range of colors that will be
kept in the foreground image.
Note
You cannot rotate the Foreground area so that it falls in an area that is
the same as the Background.
