10-1 Troubleshooting Using Indicators
This section describes the errors indicated by the Controller Link Unit indica-
tors and possible remedies.
10-1-1 CS-series Controller Link Units
Troubleshooting with RUN, P/S, ERC, ERH, RING, and INS Indicators
The RUN, P/S, ERC, ERH, RING, and INS indicators can be used to check
whether Controller Link Unit startup and Network participation are operating
normally.
Note Be sure to turn off the power to the PLC before performing any of the follow-
ing.
• Disconnecting the Unit or connectors.
• Securing Units or connectors.
• Setting hardware switches.
The following CIO words contain information on the status of the Controller
Link Unit. These words are referenced in the “Status area” column in the fol-
lowing table.
