2.
Set the number of polled nodes setting in the network parameters to the
same value as the maximum node address setting.
Note Controller Link does not perform polling operations (e.g., checking
network participation, establishing participation) for nodes with ad-
dresses larger than the maximum node address setting. Also, with
each cycle, polling operations are performed for the number of nodes
set in the number of polled nodes setting. Therefore, making settings
1 and 2 above will reduce the network participation waiting time to a
maximum of 1 communications cycle.

Operating Flags
Turn ON when the Communications Unit with the
corresponding unit number is in duplex
operation.
ON: Duplex communications operation
OFF: Not in duplex communications operation

Duplex Communications Switch
Cause Flags (See note.)
When an error occurs in the active
Communications Unit and operation is switched
to the standby Communications Unit, an error
code will be stored to show the cause of the error
in the active Communications Unit. (See note.)
The code is set to 00 Hex if online replacement is
performed for the faulty Unit.
The corresponding bit in A436 will also turn ON.

Online
Replacement
Flag
Turns ON when a Basic I/O Unit, Special I/O
Unit, or CPU Bus Unit is being replaced online on
the CPU Rack, an Expansion Rack, or a Long-
distance Expansion Rack. If an attempt is made
to generate the I/O tables while this flag is ON,
an I/O table generation error will occur and the I/
O tables will not be created.
ON: During online replacement
OFF: I/O table creation completed normally.

Unit Missing or
Non-Duplex
Communications
Unit Mounted
Flag
Turns ON when Duplex Units are not mounted for
a unit number specified for Duplex
Communications Units (i.e., a Unit is missing or
the mounted Units do not support duplex
operation). If an attempt is made to generate the
I/O tables while this flag is ON, an I/O table
generation error will occur and the I/O tables will
not be created.
ON: A Duplex Unit is missing or the mounted
Units do not support duplex operation.
OFF: I/O table creation completed normally.
The corresponding bit in A434 will also turn ON.

Duplex
Communications
Unit Verification
Error Flag
Turns ON when the unit number or node address
of 2 Units specified as a pair of Duplex
Communications Units in the PLC Setup does
not agree. If an attempt is made to generate the
I/O tables while this flag is ON, an I/O table
generation error will occur and the I/O tables will
not be created.
ON: Verification error
OFF: I/O table creation completed normally.
The corresponding bit in A435 will also turn ON.
