CS-series Optical Bus Controller Link Units
Component Names and Functions
Optical Unit Indicators
Note Even when the local node does not participate in the data link, the indicator will be lit if there are manu-
ally set data links active on the network.
Unit number switches
Two rotary switches. The unit number is set in single-digit
hexadecimal for the network to which the PLC is connected.
Indicators
LED indicators that display the Unit and network status.
Node address switches
Two rotary switches. The node address of the Unit on the
Controller Link Network is set in 2-digit decimal.
Optical connectors
Connectors to connect to the Controller Link Network communications
cable (H-PCF optical fiber cable).
Power Supply Terminal Block
Connect the backup battery for the node bypass function.

(network participation) Yellow Lit Unit is participating (inserted) in the network.
Not lit Unit is not participating (inserted) in the network.

(send) Yellow Lit Data transmission.
Not lit No data transmission.

(receive) Yellow Lit Data reception.
