Insert the inner track of the roller bear-
ing with special tool code 17945460 to
press it on the shaft.
Specific tooling
12.90.59.00 Clutch shaft removal
17.94.54.60 Tool to drive the inner bearing ring
on the main shaft and on the clutch shaft
Then fit on the box side shaft: The seal ring into the specific groove on the shaft. The oil spreading ring
between the shaft and the bearing on the box.. Finally insert the clutch shaft on the bearing complete
with the clutch shaft complete on the bearing and on the seal ring on the box.
Fitting of 5th gear and relative coupling sleeve on the primary shaft
To fit the 5th gear on the primary shaft, proceed as follows:
•
Fit the rollers cage and the 5th gear on the bushing.
•
Insert the gear assembly, rollers cage and bushing on the grooved part of the primary shaft
sliding up until it is close to the hole.
•
Insert the clip into the hole of the shaft and above the clip the retaining roller.
•
Keep the roller pressed with a specific tool (formed by a plug and a tube) or with the thumb
of the left hand, while with the right hand pushing the bushing complete to the bottom as
described above for cage and gear.
•
Turn the bushing to the right or left until the roller engages with a click in one of the six inner
grooves of the bushing.
•
Install the sleeve for the 5th gear coupling with the fork on the shaft, then the fork on the rod
and the nib of said fork into the groove on the grooved drum.
Fitting of the cover on the gearbox
NOTE
WHEN REFITTING THE COVER COMPLETE WITH PRE-SE-
LECTOR, MAKE SURE THAT THE GEAR SHIFT GROOVED
DRUM IS PUT IN NEUTRAL POSITION WHEN THE DRUM
WAS IN A DIFFERENT POSITION, THE NIB OF THE PRE-
SELECTOR SHOULD BE INTERFERING WITH THE
CROWN OF DRUM RATHER THAN PLACED FREE IN THE
TWO CONTROL NOTCHES INDICATED BY THE ARROWS.
