Installing
Outer track of tapered bearings on the casing
To fit the outer tracks of the tapered bearings on
the casing use a special punch.
Specific tooling
17.94.51.60 Punch to press the outer track of
the bearings on the box
Casing in its entirety
For the above fitting, operate in reverse order as
for the disassembly, checking that no piece was
changed, that the number of shim rings between
the spacer and bearing and between the bearing
and bevel pinion is identical. If any replacement
was made, it requires a new shimming. The lock-
ing of the nut should be done with a seal tool and
screwdriver to the specified torque and with Loc-
tite.
NOTE
IF THE PINION HAD A CORRECT SHIMMING, IT MUST BE
RUNNING FREE WITHOUT CLEARANCE.

12.90.71.00 Tool to lock the secondary shaft
Fitting the inner track of the roller bearing on
the drilled pin
To press the inner track of the roller bearing on the
drilled pin.
Specific tooling
17.94.84.60 Tool to press the inner track of the
roller bearing on the drilled pin on the gear
case
