Disassembling the gearbox

To disassemble the gear in its elements operate

as follows:

•

Lock the gear support tool in vice and

mount the complete gear on the sup-

port.

•

To be able to easily perform the re-

moval, it is recommended that the gear

in neutral position.

•

Discharge all the oil from the gear.

Specific tooling

Gearbox support

•

Remove the caulking on the secondary

shaft lock nut.

•

Unscrew the nut using the special

spanner to lock the secondary shaft

and to undo the nut.

Tool to lock the secondary shaft

Secondary shaft locking nut

•

Undo the odometer transmission and

slide it off from the gear cover.

•

Remove the crown gear together with

the ball and with the thrust washer.
