Both adjustment knobs have 15 adjust-
ment positions (notches);
•
Turning clockwise (+) increases the re-
bound, vice versa, anticlockwise (-) it
decreases.
NOTE
DO NOT FORCE THE ADJUSTER SCREW IN THE END OF
STROKE POSITION
Removing the fork legs
The vehicles are equipped with a hydraulic tele-
scopic fork with separate adjustment for rebound
and compression damping:
In the case of adjustable fork, the left stanchion
works in extension while the right one in compres-
sion.
Although the two stanchions work in a different
way, their internal components are similar and
thus the removal, overhaul and refitting are per-
formed following the same operations; therefore
the operations described below are valid for both
stanchions.
STANCHION REMOVAL
•
Place the vehicle on a stable support
so that the front wheel does not touch
the ground.
•
Remove the brake callipers without
disconnecting the oil pipes.
•
Remove the front mudguard.
•
Remove the front wheel.
•
Remove the chrome caps on the
screws (1) and (2).
•
Undo the upper sealing screw (1).
•
Undo the two lower sealing screws (2).
•
Slide off the stem downwards by turn-
ing it slightly first in one direction then
to the opposite direction.
