Unscrew and remove the neutral indi-
cator (7).
•
Undo and remove the cap (8) (used to
hold the speed retaining pawl on the
grooved drum).
•
Remove the spring.
NOTE
THE PAWL REMAINS IN THE HOLE OF THE BOX AND WILL
BE RECOVERED AFTER HAVING COMPLETELY RE-
MOVED THE GEARBOX UNIT.
•
Slide off the secondary shaft complete
with the gears and forks, the main shaft
and the grooved drum with the guide
rod.
•
Slide off the clutch shaft from the bear-
ing on the box, if necessary hit slightly
on the shaft head with a leather mallet
and remove the O-Ring mounted
above.
Bearings from gearbox removal:
•
Warm up the gearbox to a temperature
of about 150 - 160 °C (302 - 320 °F).
•
Extract the roller bearing (9) for the
main shaft with the extractor code
14913100.
•
Extract the outer ring of the roller bear-
ing (10) for the secondary shaft with the
extractor code 17945060.
•
Undo the two screws (11) and remove
the safety plate (12).
•
Extract the bearing (13) for the clutch
shaft with the extractor code
17949260.
Bearings from gear cover removal:
•
Warm up the cover always at about
150 - 160 °C (302 - 320 °F).
