coming out from the nozzle (atomization), forming
a cone of about 30°.
Resistance value: 12 ohm.
If you want to perform an electrical test in the in-
jector, apply a maximum voltage of 6V, for very
limited periods.
Removal:
•
Remove the throttle body.
•
Undo the two retainer screws and re-
move the electro-injector unit.
Removing the throttle body
The amount of intake air is determined by the opening of the throttle valve located at the beginning of
the intake manifold of each cylinder.
The air required for the operation at idle speed passes through a by-pass channel, equipped with a
adjuster screw: turning this screw, the amount of air varies, which is introduced in the manifold and
consequently also the pace of idle speed.
A second screw, allows the correct adjustment of the throttle valve closure, to avoid jamming with the
surrounding duct; said screw should not be used to adjust the idle.
Removal:
•
Remove the air box filter.
•
Disconnect from the throttle body:
- The wiring harness of the potentiometer;
- the wiring harness on the injectors;
- the throttle grip transmission;
- the starter for transmission control;
- The fuel intake and return pipes;
•
Loosen the clamps securing the engine and remove the throttle body from the engine.
