Refitting the primary shaft on the box
The primary shaft before being refitted on the box, must be shimmed so that between the bearing box
and the bearing on the cover there is a measurement equal to 167.1 - 167.2 mm (6.578 - 6.583 in). To
obtain such a measure it is necessary to act on the shim washers, these washers are supplied in sizes
of 2.0 - 2.1 - 2.2 - 2.4 mm (0.0787 - 0.0827 - 0.0866 - 0.0945 in). This washer is fitted between box
bearing and thrust bearing. At the end of shimming, press on the shaft (box side) the inner track of the
roller bearing with a specific tool code 17945460.

Refitting the secondary shaft on the box
As a first step, the gears and sleeves must be refitted on the shaft itself, proceeding as follows:
On the box side shaft
•
Insert the bushing for 2nd gear on the shaft, observe that the head of the bushing should be
facing the cover.
•
The cage complete with rolls for 2nd gear on the bushing.
•
The 2nd gear on the roller cage, taking in mind that the front coupling notches should be
directed toward the cover.
•
The thickness washer between the 3rd and 2nd gear.
•
The 3rd gear with roller cage, taking in mind that the front coupling notches should be di-
rected toward the box side.
•
The bushing for 3rd gear on the shaft with head directed toward the mobile sleeve.
•
The fixed sleeve observing that the part with inner fall is fitted toward the 3rd gear.
•
The inner track in the bearing 4th gear side with tool code 14928600.
•
The mobile sleeve for coupling 3rd and 4th gear observing that the part with fall must be
directed towards the 3rd gear.
•
The cage complete with rollers on the bushing.
•
The 4th gear on the shaft, taking in mind that the front coupling notches should be directed
toward the mobile sleeve.
