Removing the oil sump

NOTE

TO REMOVE THE OIL SUMP, PLACE A SUITABLE CONTAINER UNDER IT TO COLLECT THE
USED OIL AND DRAIN OUT ALL OIL.

•

Drain all the engine oil.

•

Undo and remove the eighteen screws fixing the oil sump to the engine crankcase.

•

Remove the engine oil sump.

NOTE

BETWEEN THE OIL SUMP AND THE CRANKCASE IS A GASKET THAT MUST ALWAYS BE RE-
PLACED AFTER REMOVAL.
