Fitting of the outer track of the roller bearing

on the box

To press the outer track of the roller bearing on the

box.

Specific tooling

17.94.88.60

Punch for outer track of bearing re-

lated to the transmission box seal ring

Box casing

During fitting of the casing on the transmission

box, it should be noted that the lubrication holes of

the box and on the casing indicated by the arrow

are in line; remember to put between casing and

box the seal ring (OR) (1).

Crown on the drilled pin

Refit the crown on the drilled pin remembering that

the eight screws should always be replaced; be-

fore fitting, properly degrease with trichlorethylene

the threads formed in the drilled pin to ensure good

adhesion of the block, "Loctite 601", previously

applied to the threads of the screws. Lock to the

specified torque.

Cover on the transmission box

When fitting the cover (4) on the box, operate as

follows:

•

place the gasket (2) on the box, then

the shim ring (3) and finally the other

gasket (2) by observing that the holes

are in line with those of the box. The

cover is fitted on the box, checking that

the word "Down" is facing toward the

ground; also observe that the arrow "X"

printed on the cover (4) is in line with

the arrow "Y" stamped on the box (5),
