Automated slits
The TRIAX has automated adjustable slits at the entrance (2 mm maximum) and exit (7
mm maximum) ports. The slit width may be adjusted in steps of 0.0125 mm. For a 0.6-
mm slit on the TRIAX 320, dispersion is 1.58 mm.
Connections to system
Below is a sketch of the special cable connections required between a TRIAX spec-
trometer, the CCD detector, and the system. Details of these connections are given on

Attachment to sample compartment

-3 users typically choose the
lateral entrance port as the path for lumines-
cence from the sample compartment into the
TRIAX. To attach the TRIAX to the sample
compartment, a baseplate adapter must be
inserted between the sample compartment
and the TRIAX.
