Using diagnostic spectra
Often the spectrum reveals information regarding the hardware or software parameters
that should be adjusted. The following spectra occur with explanations regarding prob-
lems leading to their appearance.
Lamp scan
Running a lamp scan verifies system integrity and indicates whether the correct pa-
rameters for the best possible trace are being used. The following spectrum shows the
trace resulting from a lamp scan run with a known good lamp.
