The Fluorolog
®
-3 system consists of four
main components:

Personal computer
•
Color monitor
•
Expanded keyboard
•
Fluorolog
®
-3 spectrofluorometer
An optional printer may also be
included. The Fluorolog
®
-3
spectrofluorometer is a combination of
discrete modules and components. These
components include excitation and
emission monochromators, sample compartment, xenon light source and a System Con-
troller (SAC).
Occasionally, because of relocating the instrument, reassembling the system is neces-
sary. The following instructions are provided as a guide.
Computer
The computer must be set-up and operating before the spectrofluorometer system can
be connected.

Connect the
computer’s
components
according to
the instructions with the computer.

Plug the power cables
from the monitor, the
main unit (CPU), and
the printer or plotter
into outlets with the
proper line voltage.
