i-mode/i-motion/i-Channel
There are 2 types of channel: "Basic channel" and
"Okonomi (Favorite) channel".
"Basic channel" provided by DoCoMo is already
registered and can be used immediately after
starting the i-Channel service. Packet
communication fee charged for automatic update
of the information distributed in relation to "Basic
channel" is included in the i-Channel service fee.
"Okonomi (Favorite) channel" is channel provided
by IP (Information Provider) other than DoCoMo;
the customer can register and use any preferred
channel. Packet communication fee charged for
automatic update of the information distributed in
relation to "Okonomi (Favorite) channel" is not
included in the i-Channel service fee.
Information of "Basic channel" and "Okonomi
(Favorite) channel" can be used as a ticker on the
stand-by display.

Some "Okonomi (Favorite) channel" may require
subscription for usage to the IP (Information
Provider) that provides the channel.

Both "Basic channel" and "Okonomi (Favorite)
channel" require packet communication fee for
viewing detailed information from the channel
list in addition to the i-Channel service fee.

Packet communication fee charged for automatic
update of the information distributed in relation
to "Basic channel" used in overseas is not
included in the i-Channel service fee.
i-Channel is an optional subscriber service to be
charged requiring subscription (i-mode
subscription is required for the service).

Trial service
If you have subscribed to i-mode, are using
i-Channel compatible terminal and have not yet
applied for i-Channel on the subscriber line that
uses the i-Channel compatible terminal, you can
use "Basic channel" for a predetermined period of
time for free of charge. Viewing detailed
information from the channel list requires packet
communication fee.

For precautions and detailed procedure for using
the trial service, see "Mobile Phone User's Guide
[i-mode]".
The trial service is automatically started in principle
when a predetermined period time has elapsed
after inserting UIM and starting use of the
i-Channel compatible terminal. If this service is not
automatically started, it can be started by pressing

.
The trial service can be used only once for 1
subscriber line.
The trial service is automatically terminated when
a predetermined period time has elapsed after
started. For the procedure for terminating this
service halfway, see "Mobile Phone User's Guide
[i-mode]".

Displaying i-Channel
By displaying i-Channel, you can view details of
information of the current ticker display.

Receive i-Channel information.

While receiving information, keeps

When the i-Channel list is displayed by

receive information which could not be
received while the FOMA terminal was
turned OFF or was out of service area. The
latest information is received and a ticker
also appears on the stand-by display.
