Playing Music
INFORMATION
･
When the memory is not enough or the maximum
number of saved items is reached, the confirmation
screen appears asking whether to delete the music.
When saving, delete existing music data according to
instructions displayed on the screen.
Saving WMA files
Use Windows Media Player 10 to save WMA file to
microSD memory card.

To transfer WMA file to microSD memory card in
FOMA terminal with Windows Media Player 10
installed, the following conditions must be
satisfied:
- Operating system of PC:
Windows XP Service Pack or later
- Version of Windows Media Player 10:
10.00.00.3802 or later

For operations, see the help of Windows Media
Player 10.

Be sure to check the version of Windows Media
Player before connecting FOMA terminal to PC.

Playlists can be transferred from PCs. Note that
up to 400 music data in the playlist can be
transferred.

WMA files cannot be saved in FOMA terminal.

Prepare WMA file in PC using Windows
Media Player 10.

Switch USB mode settings to "MTP
mode" on the FOMA terminal.
USB mode settings → P340

This operation is not necessary when "MTP
mode" is already set in USB mode settings.

When saving, install microSD memory card
before switching to "MTP mode".
■ Switching to MTP mode during Music
player operation :
On the screen other than
the player screen,

MTP mode is set and Music player ends.

Start Windows Media Player 10.

Connect FOMA terminal to PC using
USB cable.
FOMA terminal is connected to PC in MTP
mode.

Transfer WMA file from PC to microSD
memory card inserted in FOMA
terminal.

After data transfer is over, switch USB
mode settings of FOMA terminal to
"Communication mode".

Do not remove the USB cable during data transfer. It
may cause malfunction or data loss.
･
Switching from MTP mode to another mode is
disabled while accessing microSD memory card
inserted in FOMA terminal from a PC.
･
WMA files saved in microSD memory card inserted in
FOMA terminal can also be deleted using Windows
Media Player 10 while FOMA terminal is connected to
a PC.
･
If music data cannot be transferred from a PC, you
can check the optimum measure for your PC
environment using software " ポータブルデバイス用パ
ソコン環境診断 (PC environment diagnosis for
portable device)" contained in the attached CD-ROM.

AAC format files available with Music player of FOMA
F series F902i or earlier cannot be played with Music
player of F903i, but can be played in "Other movie" in
Multimedia of microSD memory card. When copying
data from miniSD memory card to microSD memory
card, specify PRIVATE ￥ DOCOMO ￥ MMFILE ￥
MUDxxx (where xxx is 001 to 999) of microSD
memory card as a copy destination of AAC format
files ( → P329). After copying, updating information of
microSD memory card displays copied files.
Note-1: Files without files names in "MMFxxxx" format
(where xxxx is 0001 to 9999) or files with extension
".m4a" cannot be displayed or played also after they
are copied.
Note-2: When copying, use of SD utility is recommended. SD
utility automatically converts file names.
