Voice call/Videophone call
Sending tone signal (DTMF) during a videophone call

The tone signal (DTMF) input is available only while (sending camera image), (sending Camera-
Off image) or (during Chara-den) is displayed during a videophone call.

only pressing a key of the keypad without

INFORMATION

Tone signals (DTMF) may not be received depending on the receiving device.
･
When sending tone signal (DTMF) using the speakerphone function during a voice call, input tone signal (DTMF)
after switching to the speakerphone.
･
You cannot make a call to another party, putting the current call on hold, by entering a pause ("P") or timed pause
("T").
･
An attempt to send tone signal (DTMF) during a videophone call cancels a frame set on a camera image or a still
image set as a substitute image, if any.

You can set calling conditions each time you make a voice or videophone call.

Select and set the required items below.
Chaku-moji : Create or select a message to be sent to the other party. → P54
Multi-No : Select the caller ID from the basic or additional number 1 or 2. When "Unspecified"
is selected, operations are performed according to Set Multi Number. → P403

When Multi number call for Number Setting is set to "Disable", the caller ID cannot
be selected.
Call type : Select one of "Voice call", "64K V.phone", "32K V.phone" or "PushTalk".
Caller ID : Set Notify/Not notify for a caller ID. When "Unspecified" is set, the settings in Caller
ID notification are used.
Prefix : Select Prefix to be added before phone number.
Intn'l call : Set whether to make an international call.

Intn'l prefix : Select International access code to make an international call.
Country code : Select a country code when making an international call.

If "64K V.phone" or "32K V.phone" is selected for Call type, Chara-den to display during a call can

When operating from the recorded message list, voice memo list, redial, received call list or Members screen of
schedule, press

and select "Call option".

When operating from Phonebook list or Phone number detail screen of FOMA terminal or UIM, press

and
select "Mail/Call option" → "Call option".

If you operate from Phone number detail screen of User information, press
m
and select "Call option".
･
When using Phone To (AV Phone To) function, set items and press
m
to display a calling confirmation screen.
When "No, use original" is selected, a call is made under such conditions that the settings other than "Chaku-moji"
or "Call type" are canceled.
