Voice call/Videophone call
Making a call accompanied by a Chaku-moji message
You can create a message or select one of saved messages. The message appears on the incoming call
screen of the receiver.

Up to 10 sent messages can be saved.

When a Chaku-moji message is received by the other party's FOMA terminal, message
"Transmission completed" appears on the calling screen and you will be charged for message
transmission.
When the Chaku-moji message is not received by the other party due to incompatibility or Message
display settings etc., message "Transmission failed" appears on the calling screen and you are not
charged for message transmission.

Sent Chaku-moji messages are saved to Sent messages. When the number of saved messages is going to exceed
10, they are deleted chronologically.

A Chaku-moji message cannot be sent and it is not recorded in Received calls when the receiver side is in one of
the following states. The transmission result is not displayed on the sender side with no transmission fee charged.
- When the receiver is out of service area or the terminal power is OFF
- When the response time for Answer machine is set to "0 Sec."
- Public mode (Drive mode) ON

When operating from Redial or Received calls, press

and select "Chaku-moji".

When operating from the recorded message list, voice memo list or Members screen of schedule, press

select "Call option".

When operating from Phonebook list of FOMA terminal or UIM, press
m
and select "Mail/Call option"
→
"Call
option"; when operating from phone number details screen, press
m
and select "Chaku-moji/MultiNo" → "Chaku-
moji".

When the other party is set Ring alert delay, a Chaku-moji message will be sent even in Delay time and the
transmission is charged.

Depending on the signal quality, the transmission result may not appear on the sender's terminal even when
Chaku-moji message arrives at the other party's terminal. In this case, you will be charged for message
transmission.
･
Chaku-moji cannot be sent/received when using FOMA terminal in overseas.
