Mail
FOMA terminal mail function
FOMA terminal provides 2 mail functions: i-mode
mail and SMS.

You need to subscribe i-mode to use i-mode
mail.
I
You can use SMS without subscribing i-mode.
Sending/receiving mail
i-mode mail
When you subscribe to i-mode, not only you can
exchange mail with i-mode terminals (including
mova terminal) but also you can send and receive
e-mail via the Internet.
In addition to message text, you can attach a
maximum of 10 files (images, ToruCa, PDF, etc.) of
up to 2 Mbytes in total to a message. Moreover,
Deco-mail is available, a font color, size and
background color of message text can be changed,
and many Deco-mail pictograms that can be
inserted similarly to pictograms are preinstalled,
allowing you to easily create and send expressive
messages.

The mail address for i-mode subscribers is
constructed as follows.

If you exchange messages between i-mode
terminals (including mova terminal), the
message can be sent only by the part preceding
symbol @ in the address.

When sending e-mail from a PC or other devices,
use the entire address including @docomo.ne.jp.

Receive option
You can check the subject of i-mode mail stored
in the i-mode Center to select whether to receive
or delete i-mode mail before receiving it.

For example, you can change the part preceding
symbol @ to another address like "docomo.

You can use both i-mode mail and SMS.
Note-1: mova service i-mode terminal receives SMS sent
from FOMA terminal as i-mode mail.
Note-2: When SMS report request is set to "Request" in
SMS settings ( → P258), you cannot send SMS to
mova service i-mode terminals.
*: The limit differs according to the i-mode terminal
settings for mova service.

FOMA terminal
FOMA terminal can receive i-mode mail and
Short Mail sent from an i-mode terminal using
the mova service.
Note: FOMA terminal receives Short Mail sent from
mova service i-mode terminal as SMS.
Note: Short Mail Service allows the exchange of text
messages between mova service mobile phones.
Up to 70 characters (in Japanese)

a combination of random alphanumeric
characters. Be sure to check the user mail
address after subscribing to i-mode.
