List of keypads and character assignments (5-touch
input method)
In 5-touch input method, characters are assigned to the keypads as shown in the table
below.
One-byte or two-byte characters are entered according to the selected input mode.
■ : Indicates blank space.
: Press

(A/a) after entering a character to toggle between upper and lower case.
*1: Numeric characters are entered as one-byte characters even in the two-byte mode.
*2: This character is entered as "
~
" in the one-byte alphabet mode.

Numeric mode characters of "

", "#", "P", "T" and "+" can only be entered in the entry field that supports them.
*4: Switches between upper and lower cases only in two-byte mode.
*5: Press and hold the relevant key for 1 second or more to enter the character.
