Setting "Not display" for Animation also plays the
Flash graphic.

The image settings are not reflected to images
attached as attached files or those in text of
MessageR/F. In addition, ON/OFF of Sound effect
setting is not reflected to MessageR/F.

If you set Use phone information to "Yes", the battery
level, Received signal level, time information, Call
alert volume in Adjust volume, Select Language
setting and model information may be sent to IPs
(Information Providers), causing such information to
be known by the third party.
Using Message Service
Receive MessageR/F
When MessageR/F is received

Receive MessageR/F.
and (Blue) blink while MessageR is
being received, and and (Green) blink
while MessageF is being received. "Receiving
MessageR
… " or "Receiving MessageF … " is
displayed at the same time.
MessageR/F ring alert, the light and light of
round illumination panel is lit/flashed and the
reception result screen is displayed.
The received MessageR/F is saved in FOMA
terminal.

You can stop reception by pressing
g
on
the receiving message screen.

When a message set in Auto-display is
received and no actions are made after the
reception result screen appears, the
contents of unread MessageR/F appears and
the screen displayed before receiving the
message reappears. When a message not
set in Auto-display is received or a message
is received with "Not display" set and no
actions are made in approximately 15
seconds after the reception result screen
appears or before the ring tone stops
sounding, the screen displayed before
receiving the message automatically
reappears. To make the screen reappear
earlier, press
c
.
■ When the reception has failed :
"x" is displayed on the right side of
"MessageR" or "MessageF" on the reception
result screen. To receive again, perform
i-mode inquiry.

The receiving screen or reception result screen may
not be displayed depending on the setting of Display
priority.

In the cases given below, received MessageR/F will
be stored in the i-mode Center.
- When the power is OFF - During a videophone call
- Accessing Data Center - During a PushTalk session
- In Self mode ON - In Omakase Lock
- During FirstPass center connection
- When reception has failed - Out of i-mode service area
- When receiving SMS
- Infrared communication/iC transmission
- When storage area is filled with MessageR/F unread or
protected

When FOMA terminal receives a MessageR/F, the
MessageR/F in the i-mode Center is deleted.
･
When the memory is not enough or the maximum
number of saved items is reached, a new MessageR/
F overwrites the chronologically oldest message
except for unread messages. Be sure to protect
MessageR/F you want to keep.

If there is no space to overwrite messages because
storage area is filled with unread/protected
MessageR/F, reception of MessageR/F is stopped. On
the screen, (Red) or (Red) is indicated. To
receive MessageR/F, displaying the contents of
unread MessageR/F (
→
P203) and deleting
unnecessary MessageR/F ( → P204) or releasing
protection (
→
P204) is required.

If there are remaining MessageR/F in the i-mode
Center, or is indicated. Note that,
sometimes it is not indicated even when there are
MessageR/F. When the i-mode Center reaches the
maximum number of mail items that can be stored,
the icon changes to or .
