Data Operation
iC transmission
You can send and receive data to/from other FOMA
terminals equipped with the iC transmission
function by placing FeliCa marks close to each
other. In addition, i-
α
ppli compatible with iC
transmission is also available. Types of data that
can be sent/received are the same as those for
infrared communication.
Precautions for using infrared
communication/iC transmission
I
Infrared communication/iC transmission and
USB connection cannot be performed at the
same time.
I
Data prohibited from outputting from FOMA
terminal cannot be sent/received. Note that it
does not apply to data with File restriction set to
"File restricted" on the FOMA terminal or data in
"Data transfer" folder.
I
During infrared communication or iC
transmission, the terminal is in data transfer
mode (same status as out of service area), so
calls, i-mode and data communication are
disabled. Also, you cannot switch to other
functions by pressing
s
.
I
The infrared communication function of FOMA
terminal conforms to IrMC 1.1. Even if the
terminal of the other party conforms to IrMC 1.1,
some data may not be received/sent depending
on the data type.
I
When data containing pictograms is sent to a
terminal other than i-mode terminal, the data
may not be displayed correctly. When data
containing pictogram 2 is sent to an i-mode
terminal not supporting to Pictogram 2, the data
may not be displayed correctly.
Precautions for receiving data from
FOMA terminal via infrared
communication/iC transmission
I
The folder name that was set by the other
terminal is not taken over even when you receive
all items of message data via infrared
communication from F2102V, F2051.
I
If you receive message data, usual messages
may be stored in the folder for Message i-
α
ppli in
Inbox, Outbox or Unsent messages.
I
Upon reception of all items of bookmark data, the
data you will receive covers the entire of the
folder created by the other terminal.
I
Bookmark data, if any, received from terminals
other than FOMA F series is saved to the top
folder.
I
Images, movies/i-motion or melodies, if any,
received from terminals other than FOMA F
series may be saved as notes.
Precautions for sending data from F903i
to FOMA terminal via infrared
communication/iC transmission
I
The receiver may not save a large size file of
images, movies/i-motion or melodies because of
the difference in the file size limit.
Using infrared communication
I
The maximum communication range for infrared
communication is 20 cm. Keep the FOMA
terminal pointing at the other device's infrared
data port and do not move it until all the data has
been sent or received.
I
The infrared ray radiation angle is 15 degrees or
less from the center.
INFORMATION
・
Infrared communication may not be performed
properly in areas exposed to direct sunlight or
directly under fluorescent lights.
Using iC transmission
I
When doing iC transmission, make FeliCa marks
of the sender and receiver terminals face close to
each other with a distance of 1 cm or less. Do not
move the FOMA terminals before data sending/
receiving completes.
INFORMATION
・
When placing FeliCa marks close to each other, do
not give a strong shock to FOMA terminals.
