Voice call/Videophone call
Status message
Setting status message
You can record a status message in your own voice.

1 message approximately 10 seconds long can be recorded.

While a voice or a videophone call is on response hold, the status message set by this function is heard.

Select the On-hold tone field

and go to Step 4 to return to the default message.

Select "Record" in the Edit message field

Record the status message after
the beep
Recording will start after a message is displayed.

An end tone (beep) sounds approximately 10 seconds after the start of recording.

Press

to stop recording halfway.
･
Select "Delete" to record the message again, select "Yes" to delete the recorded data and then
record a new message.
･
When a recorded status message is deleted, the default message is reset.
･
Select "Play" to check the recorded status message.

Public mode (Drive mode)
Using Public mode (Drive mode)
Public mode is an automatic answering service putting emphasis on manners in a highly
public place. With Public mode set, the caller will hear an announcement notifying that the
receiver is driving a car or in a place requiring suppression of calling (electric train, bus, movie
theater, etc.) and the call is disconnected.

Public mode can be set or canceled only in stand-by. It is enabled also while " " is indicated on the
top of display.

Even with Public mode ON, calls can be made normally.
I
Even during Silent mode or Answer machine ON, Public mode takes precedence.
I
Making an emergency call (110, 119 or 118) in Public mode cancels Public mode.
I
This function is unavailable during data communication.
