Osaifu-Keitai/ToruCa
Osaifu-Keitai
i-mode FeliCa, that is IC card function of i-mode
terminal, or i-mode terminal equipped with an IC
card is referred to as "Osaifu-Keitai".
FeliCa is 1 of non-contact IC card technologies that
allow data read/write only by placing it over the IC
card reader (reader/writer).
FOMA terminal can be more conveniently used as
tools in our lives; for example, FOMA terminal can
be used as electronic money, an airline ticket or
point card by placing it over the IC card reader
(reader/writer) of supporting stores.
In addition, comparing with conventional non-
contact IC card compatible with FeliCa, Osaifu-Keitai
provides more convenient functions, e.g.,
depositing electronic money to the IC card in Osaifu-
Keitai or checking the balance or usage history.

For subscription or operating procedure of each
service supporting Osaifu-Keitai, contact each
service provider such as IP (Information
Provider). Before using each Osaifu-Keitai
compatible service, see "Mobile Phone User's
Guide [i-mode]" for usage precautions.

Please take a separate memo and store each Osaifu-
Keitai compatible service name and inquiries. Data
in the IC card may be lost or modified due to failure,
repair, and model change of your mobile phone or
other way of handling of Osaifu-Keitai. Note that
when repairing, the data will be required to be
erased in principle by you. If the data in the IC card
should be lost or modified, DoCoMo assumes no
responsibility for the loss of data. If you erase the
data in the IC card or the data has been lost or
modified, the measures differs for each Osaifu-
Keitai compatible service, therefore contact your
subscribed service provider such as IP (Information
Provider) beforehand and check the response.

Be careful not to lose your Osaifu-Keitai. If the
terminal should be misplaced, contact your
subscribed IP (Information Provider) etc. for
Osaifu-Keitai compatible service. This FOMA
terminal allows to restrict IC card functions with
Omakase Lock or IC card lock.

to deposit money into electronic money and
passengers' tickets, or to check the balances
and payment records with i-mode terminal.
Step 3 Holding FeliCa mark over IC card
reader (reader/writer)
You can use the i-mode terminal as
electronic money to purchase, or use as a
passenger ticket by placing the FeliCa mark
of the i-mode terminal over the IC card
reader (reader/writer). This function can be
used without starting the Osaifu-Keitai
compatible i-
α
ppli.
