3.7.31 Generic ANC
Ancillary data arriving over an SDI or HD-SDI link may be passed through to the
outgoing Transport Stream by including the ancillary data in a generic ANC
component.
The AVP 4000 allows you to optionally filter the ancillary data using the data
packet’s Data ID (DID) and Secondary Data ID (SDID). The filter can be set to
either:

block the specified data and allow all other data to pass through,
•
or alternatively allow the specified data to pass through and block all other data.
3.7.31.1 How to Set Up a Generic ANC Component
To set up a generic ANC component:
1. Set up the encode service per section

2. Add the ANC component in the same manner as a video stream as described in

3. Select the ANC component on the Output service. In the Properties widget,
select the VBI tab and open the Generic ANC accordion if the accordion is
closed.
