To configure the refresh interval for MPLS label switched path (LSP) monitoring, use the
interval
command
in IP SLA MPLS discovery VPN configuration mode. To use the default value, use the
no
form of this
command.
interval refresh-interval
no interval
Syntax Description
Specifies the time interval, in minutes, after which routing entries that are no
longer valid are removed from the Layer 3 VPN discovery database. Range is 30
to 70560.

The default refresh interval is 60 minutes.

Usage Guidelines
If the total number of routes is large, there is a negative impact on the performance during the refresh of
the discovery database. Therefore, the value of the
refresh-interval
argument should be large enough that
router performance is not affected. If there are a very large number of routes, we recommend that you set
the value of the
refresh-interval
argument to be several hours.
