Working with Multiple Analysis Files

In the Merge Runs window:
a.
In the Folders box, double click the appropriate folder name. The folder contents appear in
the Files box.
b.
In the Files box, click to highlight the file(s) you want to merge. To highlight multiple
analysis files, hold the Ctrl key down while clicking each file name, or click one file and drag
over the files to be included.
c.
Click

Add
)
. The files appear in the Selected Files box.
d.
Click
(
OK
)
.
Saving a Merged Run
To save a merged run:
1.
Select
RunFile > Save
or
RunFile > Save As
on the Run Menu bar.
2.
In the Save As window, navigate to the appropriate folder and enter a file name in the File Name
field. If you want to write protect the trend file, select Save as read-only in the middle of the
window.

NOTE
Merged files are saved as analysis files and are identified by the extension .#m3 or .#m4.
Moving Between Multiple Files (Cursor Menu and Shortcut)
There are two ways to move between overlay files (page
) when a graph of the overlay is open
in the Viewing Area.
•
In the Main Toolbar, click
(
Cursor
)
. In the legend, the selected file (or cursor run) is underlined.
As you click
(
Cursor
)
, the software underlines each run in sequence.
•
Select
Cursor
on the Run Menu bar. The drop-down menu displays all analysis files in the
overlay. Select a file name to display the cursors and statistics for the run.
To see statistics associated with the selected file (cursor run), select
RunFile > Get Info
on the Run
Menu bar.
