Rate Matcher
The rate matcher (
Figure 2–74
) compensates for clock frequency
differences between the upstream transmitter and the local receiver. The
rate matcher operates in five modes: GIGE, XAUI, PIPE, Basic
single-width mode, and Basic double-width mode.
