3. R em ove the s leeve assem bly s c re w attachment and

rem ove s leeve.

4. Disengage the push rod fro m the m aster cylin d er and

drop the pedal to check fo r worn p a rts —inspect the

return spring, bracket attachment, and bushings fo r

needed rep a irs.

Installation

R e v e rs e the above procedu re and make certain the

brake pedal is secu re and adjusted p ro p e rly b efo re o p e r

ating the veh icle. See Maintenance and Adjustm ents fo r

brake pedal adjustment.

BRAKE PEDAL-TILT CAB (Fig. 6 0 )

The com plete brake pedal consists o f two separate

a s s e m b lie s — upper pedal assem bly and lo w e r pedal a s
sem bly.

The follow in g procedure applies to both pedal

assem b lies; how ever, it is not n ecessary to rem ove lo w er

assem bly i f only upper assem bly is to be replaced.

Removal

1. Disconnect and rem ove brake pedal return spring and

clutch pedal o v e r -c e n te r spring.

2. Disconnect main cy lin d er push rod c le v is at lo w er
