Panel and Suburban Trucks

Replacement

1. Using a pointed tool, r a is e one end of the w eath er

strip   reta in er  until  it  is  fa r  enough  out  to  take  hold
of  by  hand.  Then  pull  re ta in e r  out  of  its  channel  a ll
around  the  window.

2. F rom inside the cab, c a re fu lly push the window glass

out through the re a r of the opening.

NOTE:

The w eath erstrip may rem ain in the

window opening during rem o va l of glass. T o

rem o ve  w eath erstrip,  m e re ly   pull  it  off  the edges
of  the  door  panels.  On  in stallation  of  new  weath
e rs trip ,  clean  opening  edge  thoroughly,  then

in sta ll with butt ends (lig h tly coated with weath
e rs trip adhesive) at top cen ter of opening.

3. Inspect the inner and outer flan ges making sure they

a re true and that there are no ir r e g u la r itie s around

the window opening.

Any ir r e g u la r itie s must be

co rrected .

4. A ssem b le the w eath erstrip to the opening making

su re the outer channel of w eath erstrip is fir m ly

seated on the edges of the panel a ll around the
opening.

5. Start one end of the glass into its channel in the

w eath erstrip. Using a pointed tool, fo llo w around
